鸿蒙初辟，一片混沌
It started from the 7 different Italian wine tasting night, and lucky enough, I found myself couple favorites there and ordered bottles for delivery in the next few days after the event… then was the Oktoberfest draft beer night, while pounding down pitchers and pitchers of the fresh taste ‘liquid bread’, I involved myself in conversations with locals for a good networking night
It proved an old Chinese saying of “酒逢知己千杯少”, i.e., thousands of cups would Not be enough if drinking with the right ones
So, here I am, after almost 8 years staying at Boracay, the Paradise under Sun, with alluring Happy Hour between 5-7pm ongoing daily during the Best Sunset Moment on the small tropical island, I learned to let myself carry away with pleasure… more often, opening bottle of wine while dining out for any excuse such as birthday, anniversary, holiday, or festival etc; and furthermore, even have adapted western culture of drinking at home, starting to collect more good wine/sparkling/aged or select cask of single malt scotch at the corner bar, with very recently some new additions of CHOYA plum wine and Hendrick’s Gin from travelling
Yes, I did get hangover couple times, luckily were at home… finally realized there is also a fine line between 微醺/a slightly tipsy/bubbling and drunk silly, i.e., totally sh*t-faced; acknowledged that anything/everything is merely the media to the true being – it opens a gate/different dimension, enhanced different level/status of ourselves to be encountered with, while view things in different perspectives; presenting who we indeed are, whether we are happy/upset, energized/depressed, behave/rude, kind/mean of that moment/at that life stage
P.S. I was annoyed with myself at beginning, for not able to control myself drinking less the night before the hangover happened… while recalling memories however, all was fun with happiness; until that particular moment showed up one day, I sensed a sudden clear voice among the chaos, felt like a light shining out of all darkness around and I understood that I am actually able to embrace more than I was sober; so yes, the whole is more than the sum of its parts and I enjoy the simple casual island lifestyle at Boracay more
